HI! My name is Alex. I'm the owner and lead designer of Thistle.

I heard someone say once,

"What people come to you for is what you're good at."

Since I haven't figured out a way to make a career out of eating candy and watching Law & Order, the next thing would be Floral Design. 

 

What I thought would be 'just a part time job' at a neighborhood flower shop, turned out to be the greatest, most challenging, and beautiful adventure. After years of working in the retail shop environment, it was very obvious that I should expand my knowledge in the floral industry. I moved my talents to a wholesale greenhouse where I met some fabulous independent florists that helped spark the idea of starting my own business.

As I continue my professional journey, I like to think of my career as one big learning experience that continuously grows with each project and collaboration. With a dedication to functionality and a curiosity for what’s ahead of the curve, I keep my work practical, relevant and creative.
